Overview
BNH Hospital, formerly known as the Bangkok Nursing Home Hospital, was established originally to provide nursing care for expatriates. Opened by the British Ambassador to Thailand in 1898, it was one of the first private hospitals in the Kingdom of Siam. In 1901 King Rama VI granted the non-profit BNH Association a royal charter and provided funds to extend its care to Thais. In 1991 the BNH Medical Centre was formed to create a new international-standard hospital serving the growing domestic and international private healthcare market.
The current BNH Hospital complex became operational in 1996. It occupies a two-acre site on Convent Road, surrounded by mature trees and tropical greenery, and is located between Silom Road and Sathorn Road, close to Bangkok’s business, financial, and entertainment district. It can be reached easily by road or via the BTS Sky Train and MRT Metro from Sala Daeng Station.
BNH aims to provide the highest quality medical service, with specialists and general practitioners involved throughout consultation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. The concept of “the family doctor” remains highly valued at the hospital.
